Recently had the oportunity to stay for several nights in a house, designed by Miles & Associates, on Lake Michigan. It was an opprotunity to feel first hand how the house worked and what the spaces were like and also to walk in the snow and see sunsets unlike those in the city. This house was custom designed and built for a budget of about 135 dollars per square foot. The large glassed volume of the house faces Lake Michigan to the east. It is truly an amazing house to awake in, with the sun streaming in and warming both the house and the heart.
